The University of Alabama’s Moundville Archaeological Park is hosting its fourth annual Moundville 5K Footrace this Saturday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $25 and participants will receive a T-shirt, race bib, free admission to the park, a YouTube playlist and a downloadable finisher certificate. All ticket proceeds go toward the Moundville Education Fund.

“It’s a fairly easy and unique route to run or walk,” said Moundville Education Outreach Coordinator Lindsey Gordon in a statement. “Visitors are able to take in the magnificent architecture of the mounds and hopefully give reverence to those who built them.”

Moundville Archaeological Park is located at 634 Mound State Parkway. Badge pick-up begins at 8:30 a.m.
