MLB star hands out turkeys at Hillcrest High Tuesday
Tuscaloosa native and Major League Baseball player for the White Sox Tim Anderson gave back to the West Alabama community ahead of Thanksgiving.
Anderson’s League of Leaders handed out 205 turkeys to anyone who wanted on at Hillcrest High School on Tuesday.
Hillcrest is Anderson’s alma mater, and it took about an hour before the turkeys were heading home for the Thanksgiving dinner table.
“I love taking care of the community, giving love where love is needed,” Anderson said. “I was born and raised here, so it’s only right to come back and spread as much love as I can.”
