Mississippi man accused of biting someone’s nose off

Bay St. Louis, Miss. (AP) – A Mississippi man is out on bond after being accused of biting a person’s nose off.

The incident occurred Monday night in the parking lot of the Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis.

Police officers responded to a complaint of an assault and arrived to find a victim whose nose appeared to have been bitten off.

Officers learned that an argument over a golf game took place between the suspect, Mark Curtis Wells, and the victim prior to the incident.

Wells initially fled the scene but later turned himself in and was charged with felony Mayhem.

He paid down a $50,000 bond and was later released as he awaits further legal proceedings.
