A body believed to be that of a woman missing nearly two weeks was found Saturday in a Greene County creek, and Carbon Hill city councilman may be facing manslaughter charges in her death.

Lisa Warren was last seen on Feb. 24 and was reported missing from her home Feb. 25. Her husband, Carbon Hill City Councilman Robert Warren, told police Warren’s location before the start of a schedule search Saturday morning.

Carbon Hill Police Chief Eric House said they found the body believed to be Warren about an hour and a half away from Carbon Hill, on County Road 220 in Greene County.

“At this time we are conducting a homicide investigation,” House said.

There are no other suspects, House said, and Warren could be charged with manslaughter and abuse of a corpse. The body was sent for autopsy to determine Lisa Warren’s cause of death.
