Mercedes-Benz U.S. International is looking to fill open positions this week.

North American On-Site held a job fair on Wednesday at the Tuscaloosa Career Center. They are adding employees to its roster to work production jobs at the Mercedes-Benz U.S. International plant in Vance.

“Very important. The main reason why is because we have a lot of homeless people,” job fair attendee Jarelle Knott said. “We have a lot of young people who are trying to better their lives and better their situation. Also older people, also young. But it’s better because everyone knows. You know, this is a well-known place in Tuscaloosa. I think it’s just great that they have it here.”

Employees will receive $15 an hour and applicants must have production experience and a high school diploma or GED.
