Alabama Men’s Basketball looked to keep their NCAA tournament hopes alive with another win over an SEC opponent, but the Vanderbilt Commodores had very different plans on Tuesday.

Like many other games for the Crimson Tide this season, it was a slow start in the first half. The Tide would not go away easily though with a second-half push to take the lead later in the game.

Unfortunately for the Tide, there was one man they could not contain throughout the game. Vanderbilt’s Saban Lee was on fire for the Commodores as he scored 38 points while going 6-7 from beyond the arch.

The Tide’s last home game and senior night for lone senior Beetle Bolden ended in an 87-79 loss. Beetle Bolded, Kira Lewis Jr., and Jaden Shackleford combined for 72 of the 79 points scored for the Crimson Tide.

Sophomore Guard Kira Lewis Jr. also joined James “Hollywood” Robinson as only the second Crimson Tide player to score 1,000 career points in two years of play.

The Crimson Tide only have one more game left this season before the SEC Tournament begins March 11. The Tide will travel to Missouri to take on the Tigers Saturday March 7.
