MAN SHOT MONDAY NIGHT AT MANDERSON LANDING

A 24-year-old man is recovering at the hospital after he was shot at the Park at Manderson Landing Monday night.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said homicide investigators were contacted by the University of Alabama Police Department around 10 p.m. Monday in response to the shooting.

The victim was shot twice during a robbery, and witnesses told investigators the victim was supposed to be meeting someone at that location to sell a cellphone. The witness said they pulled up shortly after and found the victim who had been shot.

Police said the robbery could be drug related, and that the victim is not a UA student. The case is under investigation.
