MAN IN CUSTODY AFTER LINDEN SHOOTING LEAVES 1 DEAD

One person is in custody after a shooting that left one man dead.

Linden police chief Robert Alston told WVUA 23 News that the shooting happened Thursday, April 23 at the intersection of Abbott and 5th Avenue in Linden.

Investigators said it stemmed from a domestic dispute between Josh Cannon and his girlfriend, Blakely Tart. They said they that’s when Marshall Walker intervened to defend his sister. That led to Cannon being shot and killed.

Walker is being held in the Marengo County Jail without bond. He’s charged with murder.
