A 39-year-old man is facing robbery charges and is accused of stealing two vehicles early this morning — one at gunpoint.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said they got the first stolen vehicle call around 8 a.m. from the 3900 block of 23rd Street Northeast in Tuscaloosa.

While deputies were responding to the first call, someone else called 911 and said their vehicle was taken at gunpoint in the 10000 block of Covered Bridge Road in Brookwood.

Deputies eventually located the stolen vehicle with 39-year-old Patrick Darnell Campus inside and stopped it on Highway 11 near Grey Hill Road around the 107-mile marker.

Campos was arrested without incident and is charged with first-degree property theft and first-degree robbery. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $90,000 bond.
