Man facing drug charges in Jasper after police find 12 pounds of marijuana

A man is facing drug distribution charges and more than 12 pounds of marijuana, other drugs, guns and a bunch of cash are in police hands after Jasper Police executed a search warrant Wednesday night.
Jasper Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team sized the drugs and arrested two people during the search.
Sandy Jeremiah Price, 30, of Jasper was arrested on two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
During the search, they seized around $20,000 in cash, in addition to more than 12 pounds of marijuana, assorted pills, two guns and items related to the sale of narcotics. Additional charges may be filed against Price.
It’s not Price’s first run-in with police. Last year, he was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell, first-degree possession of marijuana and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
“I’m proud of the work these guys have done,” Jasper Police Chief J.C. Poe said in a statement. “Not only did they take a large amount of drugs off the street, but also arrested a habitual offender and a convicted felon who was in possession of two guns.”
