Man dies in Sunday morning wreck in Lamar County

A single-vehicle crash early Sunday in Lamar County claimed the life of a man from Sulligent.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 278 near the 13-mile marker, about 2 miles east of Beaverton.
Anthony T. Booton, 59, died after his vehicle left the road, struck a ditch and overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the crash.
