MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER OF DEPUTY
A man is behind bars tonight for attempted murder after he allegedly slammed into a sheriff deputy’s parked motorcycle during a traffic stop.
Deputies say this happened around 9:30 Friday morning, after a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at the intersection of Jim Jones Road and Buttermilk Road in Tuscaloosa County.
The deputy says the suspect backed up and slammed his car into the deputy’s motorcycle.
The suspect fled, but was captured early this afternoon in Bibb County.
The deputy was not injured.
Natonio Hill, 40, has been charged with attempted murder and is currently in custody.
