MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER OCT. 5 SHOOTING

A 22-year-old man is behind bars today on an attempted murder charge.

Homicide investigators said Tyshaun Johnson was identified last week as a person involved in a shooting on Fosters Ferry Road Oct. 5.

During the investigation, authorities said they learned Johnson fired multiple shots at the victim, a 19-year-old man. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Authorities said the investigation is continuing, and another potential shooter has yet to be identified.

Johnson, who was also wanted on an unrelated robbery charge, was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $60,000 bond.
