MAN CHARGED IN AUG. 22 DEATH OF DAUGHTER IN WRECK

Investigators say they’ve charged a man with manslaughter in connection with an Aug. 22 crash that killed his daughter.

Bradley Shane Jones, 36, was charged on Friday with the death of Emma Jones, 11. He was driving a vehicle in the early morning hours of Aug. 22 when it left the roadway and collided with a fence near Sokol Park.

Emma and her 5-year-old sister were passengers in the vehicle. Investigators said they believe Jones was under the influence at the time of the crash.

Jones was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail and later released after posting a $15,000 bond. Further charges are possible.
