Man arrested on attempted murder charges after Sunday shooting

A woman is recovering and a man is facing attempted murder charges after a shooting Sunday night in Northport.

Northport Police were called near midnight to Northbrook Apartments, where they found the victim who suffered head injury that was not life-threatening and a suspect.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit was called out and said the victim reported that she allowed an acquaintance, identified as 33-year-old Krisopher Andrew Oliver, to live with her on a temporary basis. While they were talking about Oliver’s future at her home, the victim said he pulled out a pistol and pointed it at her before firing and grazing her head.

Oliver was arrested and taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
