MAN ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA

TUSCALOOSA – One man is under arrest after a two-month investigation into the illegal distribution of synthetic marijuana throughout Tuscaloosa County.

The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force seized 4.5 pounds of synthetic marijuana with a street value of $40,000, along with several firearms and drug paraphernalia Wednesday in the 1700 block of 40th Avenue in Tuscaloosa, which is near Stillman College.

Earl Lee Burton Jr., 35, of Tuscaloosa was arrested on a charge of trafficking a synthetic controlled substance and is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $1 million bond.

This investigation is ongoing, and police said one more arrest is pending.
