UPDATE: Authorities searching for second suspect in gas station shooting
UPDATE 1 p.m., May 24, 2022: The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is searching for a man who may have been involved in a shooting Monday at a Tuscaloosa gas station.

A 35-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after another man was shot during an argument at a gas station Monday afternoon.
Tuscaloosa Police responded to the shooting, which happened at a gas station in the 2000 block of East Skyland Boulevard between America’s Thrift Stores and the driver’s license office, just before 5 p.m.
Soon after, officers found a person who had been shot in the 3700 block of East Hargrove Road as they were driving themself to the hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening.
Back at the gas station, police said another man came back to the scene, told police he’d been involved in the incident and surrendered a weapon.
After investigating, police determined that three men got into an argument at the gas station as a follow-up to an earlier incident between two of those men.
One man, Marcedes Turner of Tuscaloosa, was charged with attempted murder and being a person forbidden to possess a firearm. Turner was also charged with robbery in reference to the incident involving one of the other men in the shooting.
Investigators are searching for one more person.
