MAN ARRESTED AFTER BREAKING INTO WOMAN’S HOME, SHOOTING AT HOUSE

 TUSCALOOSA – One man is behind bars after police say he broke into a woman’s house, fired shots at the house and then fled and wrecked his vehicle nearby.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Ridge Avenue in Holt. The victim told police that Jeremy Scott Crews, 26, broke into the house because he was looking for her son. The victim said he went back outside and shot into the house, then fled in his vehicle.

Police said he wrecked shortly after on Covered Bridge Road, and Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies found him hiding in a house off South Brook Loop in Brookwood.

Crews was arrested for first-degree burglary and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, and was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
