DECATUR, Ala. (AP) – Police say they’ve arrested a man suspected of taking an ambulance from a north Alabama hospital.
Authorities say medics dropped off a patient at Decatur Morgan Hospital, only to go back outside early Monday and realize the vehicle was missing.
Police soon got a call about a break-in at a pharmacy in Huntsville. The arrived to find a window of the business broken and the missing ambulance parked outside.
Police say 21-year-old Evan Denison of Madison was arrested after a police dog was used to track a man seen running from the scene.
Denison is now charged with burglary and possession of stolen property in Madison County, and he will face additional charges in Morgan County.
Court records aren’t available to show whether Denison has a defense lawyer.
