Monday evening, Mayor Walt Maddox held the first town hall meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

The come and go meeting offered residents a chance to meet with Maddox one-on-one and ask questions about city-based plans and ideas.

“It gives people the opportunity to individually talk to me, share their ideas, and I like that opportunity because for me, that’s how I learn,” said Maddox.

Maddox holds several town hall meetings throughout the year.

Resident Nicole Perez said she feels she can trust that Maddox and other city officials are doing what they can to make Tuscaloosa a great place to live.

“It’s more than anything a validation,” said the resident.

The mayor was really pleased with the large turnout for this meeting.
