MADDOX CONTINUES TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO ABIDE BY CURFEW

It’s been several days since Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox put the city under a 24-hour curfew in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19. Maddox is asking for residents to follow the curfew and only go out for essential needs, such as exercise or for a trip to the grocery store.

“If everyone can continue to be vigilant, continue to abide by social distancing, abide by making certain that we do everything in our part to take the steps necessary to protect ourselves, we can slow down the rate of infection,” Maddox said. “Which ultimately will help our healthcare system withstand the amount of people who will come into it.”
