Maddox appoints new executive director, chief finance officer

Tuscaloosa has a new executive director of infrastructure and public services and chief financial officer.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox today announced Infrastructure and Public Services Executive Director Jarrod Milligan and Chief Financial Officer Carly Standridge will begin their posts Sept. 11.

Milligan began working for the city of Tuscaloosa in 2007, and has served as a wastewater engineer, a linear assets manager, associate director of water and director of logistics and asset management for the Department of Infrastructure and Public Services, and has been deputy executive director of IPS since 2018.

Standridge began working for Tuscaloosa in 2011, and has served as accounting manager in disaster recovery, financial manager in the Office of Federal Programs, as internal auditor and was appointed city clerk in 2019.

“I have full confidence in Jarrod and Carly to help lead the city of Tuscaloosa to a bright future,” Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox said in a statement. “They have both been invaluable team members for the duration of their service with the city, and have demonstrated excellent leadership skills during their time as interim director of IPS and interim CFO, respectively.”
