Pink Pumpkins

United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama decorated pumpkins last week in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The pumpkins were painted pink and given to those fighting breast cancer at the Tuscaloosa Cancer Care Center.

UCPWA Chief Development Officer Becci Houser said it’s important for UCP’s members to give back.

“We all want to have purpose in our lives,” Houser said. “When we give to others, we always get a whole lot more than when we receive. So giving them an opportunity to give back is just a great opportunity for them to learn life lessons. They give back every single day in all they do.”

UCPWA serves people with all kinds of disabilities. For more information on all they do, you can visit online here.
