LOCAL FARMERS SEE INCREASE IN DEMAND AMID COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Local farmers have seen an increase in business since the coronavirus pandemic started. Although they’ve had to alter their methods of delivery and service, farmers have been pleased to help people eat a healthy diet of local produce and meat. One Uniontown farmer said his demand has tripled.
“It’s been really awesome you know we’ve been kinda able to step up,” Uniontown farmer Ben Moore said. “Luckily the weather has been perfect so that makes it a little bit easier but we had plans already for 2020 to push our products more convenience and COVID just kind of ramped that up.”
Moore said now that orders are being made online, things are even easier for him.
