LAWYER: CLIENT DIDN’T INSTIGATE HOOVER MALL SHOOTING
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – The lawyer for a man charged in a Thanksgiving shooting at an Alabama shopping mall says his client wasn’t the instigator in the confrontation, which ended with police shooting and killing another man.
Charles Salvagio, an attorney for 20-year-old Erron Brown, made the comments during a news conference Wednesday.
Salvagio wouldn’t provide details about the incident. But he says the people involved all knew each other, and that the violence resulted from an “ongoing thing.”
Brown’s mother, Ebony Brown, says she’s standing by her son and predicts his name will be cleared.
