LAW OFFICERS SHOOT, KILL WOMAN ON ALABAMA INTERSTATE
CLANTON, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say a law officer shot and killed a woman they say led officers on a pursuit and then fired a gun at them during a confrontation on an Alabama interstate.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the shooting happened Wednesday night on Interstate 65 in the Clanton area.
Authorities say the ordeal began around 8 p.m. Wednesday, when a man approached an Alabama State Trooper stationed in a construction zone on I-65 and told the trooper that his wife had threatened to shoot him.
They say the trooper tried to stop the woman’s car, and a pursuit involving other law enforcement agencies began when she refused to stop..
