Alabama Football is wrapping up its second week of fall camp.
On Friday, senior safety Jordan Battle spoke to the media ahead of Alabama’s first scrimmage on Saturday. Battle shared his excitement about having fellow senior defensive back, Demarco Hellams, back for another season.
“I love Demarco man, he’s Hitman Hellams,” Battle said. “He’s a big hitter. He’s come back and done a good job taking care of his body, great mentally, locked in. We’re both locked in on what we need to do to get better this year, what we can do to change from last year that we did wrong. So just having him back and being comfortable with him back there with me is great.”
Hellams and Battle played in all 15 games last season and both tied for the team lead in interceptions (3) with Baltimore Ravens 4th round pick Jaylin Armour Davis.
Alabama is 22 days away from kickoff and will host Utah State week 1. That game is scheduled for September 3rd at 6:30 p.m.
