JOB FAIR HELPS LOCALS FIND EMPLOYMENT IN HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY

A job fair for employment opportunities in the health-care field was held at Brookwood High School on Tuesday evening.

The free event was hosted by West Alabama Works.

DCH Health System had a variety of available job opportunities including patient care assistants, environmental services workers, cardiac monitor technicians and pharmacy technicians.

Representatives from DCH Health Systems were onsite to answer any questions.

The job fair was ideal for people actively searching for job opportunities that capture their attention.

“Anyone who is looking for an opportunity of something they’ve been interested in that they may have not been able to pursue in the past. There are people at the career center and at West Alabama Works. We are here to help you and get connected,” said Lauren Collier, workforce development and outreach manager for West Alabama Works.

Officials with Shelton State Community College and the Alabama Career Center will have information about training and educational funding opportunities.
