<p dir=”ltr”>Election day is one week away, and campaigns have been kicked into high gear.</p><p>Jeff Sessions made a campaign stop at the Tuscaloosa County Court building Tuesday, looking to lock down enough votes to cinch the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat Sessions vacated to become U.S. attorney general. The seat is currently held by Democrat Doug Jones.</p>

<p dir=”ltr”>He started his Tuesday in Mobile, made a stop in Thomasville before coming to Tuscaloosa, and ended his day in Birmingham.</p><p>“We’ve got a race going on out there and I just want to ask people and let people know that I was honored to serve them in the United States Senate, and I am absolutely focused on doing that kind of job I’ve done in the past and even better if I get to go back,” Sessions said.</p>
