JASPER MAYOR PUTS RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE TO PROMOTE SOCIAL DISTANCING
Jasper Mayor David O’Mary is taking steps to protect his town from COVID-19. O’Mary issued an executive order over the weekend that limited the occupancy of retail and grocery stores in the city limit.
According to the order, stores are not allowed to have more than 50% of their state fire capacity in the building at any time. Stores also must have 6-foot lines at the checkout and no self-service food along with following CDC guidelines. O’May put these restrictions in place to help promote social distancing.
