Jasper High Moving to Paperless Football Ticketing System

The COVID-19 pandemic forced changes into nearly every aspect of life.

If you’re buying football tickets, whether it’s for the Crimson Tide or many high school games around West Alabama, you’ll notice a big difference as many schools do away with printed tickets.

Jasper High School in Walker County is no different, but they were a bit ahead of the game. The school tested out paper-free tickets last year and it proved a success, Director of Athletes Jonathan Jordan said.

“It was something that we thought we needed to move to,” Jordan said. “But now that we’ve done it we’ve done it. So we’re excited that we have that experience.”

Jasper High is using gofan.co along with many other schools around West Alabama. Football fans can purchase tickets online or via the Go Fan app on iOS (there is no Android version). After purchasing, ticketholders can open the app or proof of purchase on their smartphone and have it scanned by gate attendants.

Jordan said this system is safer and faster than paper tickets and exchanging money.
