IVEY: CENSUS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey is stressing the importance of the 2020 Census this week.

Even though the state is going through an unprecedented time, residents must remain committed to Census participation because it ensures Alabama gets the proper resources.

“It helps us secure $13 billion in funding for education, health care, communities and economic development opportunities,” Ivey said Wednesday. “It will help us maintain our current congressional representation.”

Alabamians can fill out the 10-question Census online at 2020cencus.gov or by phone at 844-330-2020.

Information given during the Census is protected by federal law.
