It may still feel like summer, but the time to think about shipping deadlines for Christmas deliveries is now. Supply disruptions, worker shortages and expensive fuel prices are all contributing to delays in deliveries.

For the U.S. Postal Service, all military ground services need to go out by Nov. 6. Priority, first-class and retail ground mail and packages can go out by mid-December. USPS also has a priority mail express service that can be used up until Dec. 23, but it won’t come cheap.

For FedEx, their regular ground shipping deadline is Dec. 9, but they offer express and overnight services closer to Christmas.

If you find yourself in a time crunch, UPS is offering last-minute shipping options via air services that will have packages delivered by Dec. 24.
