Investigators searching for suspects after July 27 shooting at Spades Restaurant
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has arrested one person and is searching for several more in the wake of a shooting at Spades Restaurant and Lounge on July 27.
Investigators said it happened around 1:20 a.m. at the restaurant located in West Tuscaloosa. There, officers found a victim who had been shot once. The victim was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, and investigators determined the shooting happened after an argument between two groups of people.
One group armed themselves when they left the establishment and fired multiple rounds at the other group.
The person who was struck was not involved in the altercation in any way, police said.
Corey Lewis, 24, of Eutaw was arrested on a warrant for first-degree assault on Friday, and has since been released on a $60,000 bond.
