INMATE SEARCH FINDS METH IN BODY CAVITY

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – An inmate in the Limestone County Jail is facing additional charges after meth and two unidentified pills were found in a plastic bag hidden in her body cavity.

WAAY-TV reports the inmate, Christy Evans, faces charges of promoting prison contraband and possession of a controlled substance.

The jail staff suspected she was under the influence of narcotics based on signs thoughout the day. A correctional officer found the items Monday.

Evans’ bond on her new charges is $7,500.

She was in custody following an arrest Sunday by the Athens Police Department on traffic warrants.
