INMATE ACCUSED OF LEAVING JOB SITE RECAPTURED

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say they’ve recaptured an inmate accused of escaping custody by leaving his assigned job location in southeast Alabama.

The Alabama Department of Corrections said in a statement that Mobile police officers apprehended 42-year-old Anthony Lamar Brown around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say Brown left his job location around 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Fairhope.

He had been sentenced to 50 years on a first-degree robbery charge in 1993, and was incarcerated at the Loxley Work Release Center.
