The Tuscaloosa Police Department and Alabama Department of Transportation are closing all northbound lanes on Interstate 20/59 for two hours Wednesday.

Police said the closure between 9 and 11 a.m. will allow them to fully investigate and map the scene of a fatal crash Saturday at mile-marker 74 that killed 25-year-old tow truck driver John Hubbard.

All northbound traffic will be rerouted, and drivers are encouraged to take Exit 73 at McFarland Boulevard, then turn onto U.S. Highway 11 at Skyland Boulevard during that time, or take another alternate route. Drivers can get back on the interstate at Exit 76, next to the Pilot Travel Center on Skyland Boulevard.
