HOW TO BEAT THE HEAT WITH A/C AND STAYING HYDRATED

Tuscaloosa will see temperatures in the triple digits this weekend and its important to know how to beat the heat…inside and outside.

Summer temperatures can cost you when it comes to cooling your house. Aaron Harrison, with Premier Service Company, says this is the busiest time of year with a 30-40% increase in service calls. Harrison says one tip to beat the heat this summer is to make sure your air filter is cleaned out regularly and monitor the system to ensure your unit is cooling properly.

Now, if you’re outside in this extreme heat, Dr. Phillip Bobo says to be aware of the dangers of dehydration. Hydrating frequently and taking breaks while out in the heat are ways to avoid getting overheated and dehydrated.
