Historic Tuscaloosa hosting lecture on gleaning details from postcards

By WVUA 23 Digital Reporter Winter Steele
Interested in learning more about where you live? Historic Tuscaloosa continues its 2023 summer lecture series July 20 with a presentation on what we can learn from old-time postcards by James Barksdale.
Barksdale said his family has called Tuscaloosa County home since 1817, and he’s always seeking out new historical tidbits.
There will be a pre-lecture gathering at 5 p.m. and the lecture begins at 5:30 on the main floor at the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion on Greensboro Avenue.
Admission is free and refreshments and light hor d’oeuvres will be available.
