HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMS ‘INTO THE WOODS’

Reporting by WVUA 23’s Julia Smith

The hit play in the 1980s, “Into The Woods,” will be performed by the theatre department at Hillcrest High School.

“Into The WoodS” tells the story of well-known fairy tales like Cinderella, Jack and the beanstalk and others. Theatre teacher Brent Jones and the cast have been practicing for months and are looking forward to opening night.

“We have a incredibly talented group and this is a very complex show,” Jones said. “I thought they could handle it with this being one of the most difficult shows to do, period.”

The play will be shown at Hillcrest High School starting Jan 23 – Jan 25 and the show starts at 7 p.m. Patrons can purchase tickets at the door and online on the “Into The Woods Hillcrest High School” Facebook page.
