HERITAGE HEALTH CARE CELEBRATES 65 YEARS
Heritage Health Care and Rehab in Tuscaloosa is celebrating 65 years of business this week.
State Sen. Gerald Allen was on-hand for the celebration Thursday, along with Northport Mayor Bobby Herndon.
Rev. George Jackson, Heritage’s owner, said he was called to the health care business just as he was called to to ministry.
“I got interested in it, and I found out then that god was calling me again,” he said. “He called me to the ministry and then he called me into this ministry, which I call a ministry as administrator of a nursing home.”
Jackson is also a founder of Alabama’s Nursing Home Association, which is celebrating its 49th year.
