HEAT ADVISORIES ACROSS THE STATE AS AUGUST HEAT SETS IN
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Heat advisories cover most of Alabama, as temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 90s in many parts of the state.
The National Weather Service issued the advisories for Monday afternoon and evening. They cover a large part of the state that includes the Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Mobile areas.
Forecasters say they expect high temperatures Monday of around 98 degrees in the Tuscaloosa area; 97 in Montgomery; and 95 in Birmingham.
