HEALTH MATTERS, FEB. 12, 2020: PRACTICING YOGA
Yoga has been around for centuries but researchers were never sure of its benefits.
Dr. Bob McKinney with the University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences said the benefits all depend on how you’re using yoga.
“You can have a very aggressive, active class in which you’re working and sweating and really changing some things about your body or you can have a nice mellow relaxing class,” McKinney said. “That’s still a yoga experience, and it gives you a very different awareness of yourself.
