The Tuscaloosa County Department of Public Health hosted a second COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Shelton State Community College this week, ensuring students, faculty and staff had an easy way to protect themselves from the virus.
Most of those who got their vaccines were provided their second dose, but no one requesting a vaccine was turned away.
“I play softball here and I wanted to protect my teammates,” said Shelton State athlete Georgia Gerichten. “That way nobody is missing for games and my father is at high risk, so I want to protect him.”
