HARVEST OUTREACH MINISTRY HANDING OUT LUNCHES FOR CHILDREN IN ALICEVILLE

Aliceville Food Giveaway

Aliceville is one of many towns that is offering free lunches to school age kids amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the pandemic began in March, the Harvest Outreach Ministry has been handing out lunches to school children every Thursday.

The lunches are given out at the Aliceville Entertainment Complex on Board Street.

If the child doesn’t have transportation to get to that location, they are also delivering to the children who can’t come themselves.

Linda Gosa, a Harvest Outreach Ministry coordinator, says they had to find a way to get more food to fill the growing need.

“They have to have more meals so West Alabama Food bank under Pastor Hughes Spencer provides these meals for us,” Gosa said.

As the pandemic goes on, they will continue to find a way to feed the children that need it.
