Greensboro football’s ready to make playoff run

In his second season of being the head football coach at Greensboro high school, Winston Johnson is trying to revolutionize the culture surrounding the Raiders.

Last season, the Raiders just missed the playoffs, finishing with a 4-6 record and one game shy of the fourth seed in Class 3A region 3.

Johnson believes this season will have a different outcome from last.

“These guys are very upset, they didn’t make the playoffs, they’re extremly hungry, they’re extremlly ambitious,” said Johnson. “They know what it takes and why they fell short.”
