GREENE COUNTY MAN SURRENDERS IN KILLING

FORKLAND, Ala. (AP) – A Greene County teenager is charged with murder following a killing at a convenience store in Forkland.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Monday 19-year-old Markell Tionne Gray turned himself Sunday night at the Demopolis Police Department.

Gray is now being held without bond in the slaying of 36-year-old Otha Deail Davis of Forkland.

Davis was shot to death at Moore’s One Stop Convenience Store in Forkland on Sunday night.

Gray is also charged with shooting into an occupied building. Court records aren’t yet available to show whether Gray has a lawyer.
