<p><p><p><p><p><p><em>By WVUA 23 Contributor Joshua Ragsdale</em></p><p>Greene County has put trash pickup on hold after a few sanitation workers tested positive for the Coronavirus.</p><p>The department decided to shut down completely to sanitize and test all their employees.</p><p>Greene County engineer Willie Branch asks for residents to remain patient as the department tries to catch up.</p><p>“We’re sorry for any inconveniences that this is causing, but the safety of our staff is of the utmost importance and we’re trying to do all we can and provide the service but also have a safe work environment for our staff so just bear with us as we work through this. We will be back to normal as soon as possible,” said Branch.</p><p>The department reopened last week after being closed three days to ensure the safety of their workers.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
