GOD MUST HAVE NEEDED A GUITAR PLAYER

The Tuscaloosa area has been shaken by the loss of renowned guitar player Joey Laycock, who passed away Saturday night (7/18/2015) after suffering a heart attack.
Laycock was a member of the popular, local band Mojo Trio.
His band just performed the night before his death.
Friends of Laycock didn’t hesitate when they told WVUA he was one of the best to ever pick up a guitar and could have played on any level in the industry. However, above all Laycock loved his family.

A family member tells WVUA, a memorial service will be held for Laycock on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Magnolia Chapel on Highway 69 North. A visitation will begin at 4:00 followed by a service.
