All of west Alabama will soon have an open portal to opportunity beginning right here in Tuscaloosa.
The Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center at Alberta is a project of the city of Tuscaloosa.

The Gateway’s focal point is a 16 by 5 interactive touchscreen wall programmed with information highlighting all things Tuscaloosa, including people, places and history.
The Children’s Exploration Center is especially for kids, but adults cab have fun with it too. It’s equipped with a touchscreen wall where visitors can create their own digital art.
This area also houses interactive tables with more than 300 educational exercises.
Anyone with a Tuscaloosa Library card will have access to the interactive kiosks and any Gateway member can check out an iPad, tablet, or laptop!
Other Gateway amenities include a 3-D printer, training room and multi purpose work lounge.
Adults can enjoy the in-house coffee shop and take advantage of available technology coaching.
The Gateway is located on University Boulevard East just in front of the Alberta School of Performing Arts.
It’s set to open June 29, 2016.
